Post-Detox Diet

How you break your cleanse can have more impact on you and your health than the cleansing diet itself. Your system is in a purified state - treat it gently and listen to your own body. These guidelines for returning to eating will let your detoxification work at maximum level.

Day 1

  • Morning: Raw fruit or vegetable juice - repeat as often as like, but only when hungry
  • Lunch: Salad and/or vegetable juice
  • Dinner: Vegetable soup or slightly steamed vegetables
  • Drink plenty of alkaline water, don't eat processed food for a few days, you may continue vegetable broth as desired

Day 2

  • Morning: Fruit or fruit juice - repeat as often as like, but only when hungry
  • Lunch: Salad (cucumber, cabbage, onion, tomato, lettuce, sprouts) and/or soup
  • Dinner: Steamed vegetables; you may add a little steamed brown rice

Days 3 to 7

  • Stick with fruit, salads (same as above, but you may add tofu or cheese if you like), slightly cooked vegetables and plenty of alkaline water and juices. Plenty of raw, uncooked fiber type foods are best.
  • Carbohydrates (potatoes, whole grains, squash, toasted whole grain bread) are fine in moderation (%25 of total daily food intake, the remaining %75 being raw and cooked vegetables).
  • Proteins such as eggs, fish, tofu and chicken can be slowly introduced back into your diet for lunch; but eat only one at a time and only up to %25 of the total meal, the remaining %75 being vegetables, cooked or raw.
  • For a sauce, you can mix raw apple cider vinegar, olive oil, honey, garlic and basil
