Optional Therapies
In addition to the therapies included as part of the detox program, we offer flotation tanks and calming massages to support your detoxification. These therapies are used in spas and health centers around the world, and include traditional Far East and Turkish techniques.
Flotation Tank
Tranquility is essential for the detoxing process. Our detox center offers a flotation tank where you can relax in stillness. The floating tank is filled with 35°C salt water and eliminates gravity, bringing the floater close to an experience of total weightlessness. Gravity has been estimated to occupy 90 percent of all central nervous system activity, and is possibly the single largest cause of human health problems. Freeing our brain and skeletal system from gravity liberates vast amounts of energies and large areas of the brain to deal with matter of mind, spirit, and enhanced awareness of internal states.
Traditional Balinese Massage (oil)
Originating from Bali, this is a deep pressure massage using medium-depth strokes and pressure points to reach below the superficial muscle layers. This massage helps to balance the energy centers and improve integration of your internal systems. To complement the massage techniques, the blended oil has properties that help relieve muscular tension, improve and balance subtle energies for a heightened sense of well-being.
Traditional Thai Massage (no oil)
Thai massage works on the theory of intrinsic energy flow and energy balance to promote better health and healing processes. This massage concentrates on careful application of pressure to distribute energy, release blockages and stretch the muscles leaving the body relaxed, energetic and free from stiffness. Essentially, the effect is similar to a yoga workout that the therapist applies to you.
Aromatherapy Massage (oil)
This massage uses oils applied to the body in a combination of long and sweeping movements to stimulate circulation and kneading movements. This manipulates the deeper tissue of muscles and joints. Aromatherapy uses the fragrant essence of plants and flowers.
Chi - Bergamot / Ylang Ylang / Lavender / Jasmine / Cypress Tree / Geranium
Detox - Rosemary/ Lemon / Fennel
Relaxing - Ylang Ylang / Lavender / Rosemary
Revitalizing - Orange / Lemon Grass / Sweet Basil
Chi Nei Tsang (Abdominal Massage)
This internal organ massage works directly over the navel and surrounding abdominal areas where stress, tension and negative emotions accumulate. If this area is congested, the whole energy of the body is blocked, slowly weakening the internal organs and decreasing energy and vitality. Chi Nei Tsang massage is effective in the treatment of digestive problems such as irritable bowel syndrome, bloating, gas and constipation as it eliminates toxins in the gastrointestinal track and promotes lymphatic drainage.
Shiatsu (no oil)
Shaitsu is an oriental therapy of physical and energy rebalance. It acts through pressure with thumbs, fingers and palms applied to determined areas and points of the human body. Among the diverse benefits of shiatsu is improved elasticity of the skin, better circulation and increased flexibility. Shiatsu also helps balance the digestive and nervous systems.
Reflexology
Reflexology is a therapy where pressure is applied to the feet or hands to treat a wide range of ailments and to promote psychological well-being and optimum health. The feet and hands are regarded as mirrors of the body and pressure on specific points (reflexes) treats corresponding areas of the body. Reflexology is holistic and treats each patient as an individual rather than a set of physical symptoms.
Traditional Turkish Bath Scrub & Foam Massage
Toxic wastes become very concentrated in perspiration and they can damage the skin as they pass through for excretion. Strong bad body odor and clammy sweat are additional manifestations of heavy toxicity in perspiration during detox. Damage to skin may be prevented by soaking daily in a traditional Hamam.
