Is Sunlight Really Bad For You?Özlem Zeytin
Seeking protection from the sun was started in the first half of the 20th century. Today, still some experts say the sun, the source of all life on earth, is bad for you. They suggest that you to stay away from it and avoid it as much as you can. It is because rays of the sun can be bad for your skin. However, in order protect yourself from the sun that is wreaking havoc, scientist have come up with multiple different chemicals you put it on your skin! These chemical products like sunscreen have become the new way to protect you from harmful the rays of the sun.
The fact is when you use chemical sunscreen, sadly, you increase your toxin accumulation throughout your body. Additionally, you may develop a vitamin D deficiency. Dr. Thomas Lodi of The LifeCo Phuket mentions in the video below that he never finds anyone with healthy vitamin D levels (apart from those taking supplements), whenever he tests people’s vitamin D levels. We need naturally-occurring vitamin D for important body functions. It is proven that vitamin D helps prevent health problems such as several bone diseases, muscle weakness, a lot of types of internal cancers, multiple sclerosis, and type 1 diabetes mellitus.
The most important reason for most of us to use sunscreen is being afraid of skin cancer related to exposure to the sun. But if we run away from sun exposure and use toxic & non-organic products to protect from it, this can cause two major problems: Toxin accumulation and vitamin D deficiency.
If you wonder why we no longer have normal and healthy vitamin D levels today, it is because we do not live life naturally anymore. We became afraid to lie out in the sun. Alternative doctors advice us to lie under the sun for 20 minutes. But, if you want to do a true alternative medical approach, you would have to find a chart to look at the latitude. Then you can see what time of the year, which months and what time of the day will you get the adequate sun.
As adult humans, we need right amount of sun exposure. And, the most natural way to get enough vitamin D is regular sun exposure. Regular sun exposure is not unnatural and won’t cause you to get sunburnt. We should not forget that surfers and farmers always have the chronic, low-level of sun exposure from living and working on the planet in a natural way. It is because we were designed this way.
