Breaking the Fast: What Comes After

When the fast ends, reintroducing food slowly protects your digestive system and lets you carry your renewed relationship with food home with you. We start with high-water-content fruits such as melon — about 90% water and rich in vitamins A, B, and B6 — to rehydrate and nourish the body gently.

As a guide, we recommend two refeeding days for every week of fasting: 2 days for a 7-day fast, 4 days for 14 days, and 6 days for a 21-day program. A full after-detox guideline is provided so the benefits last well beyond your stay.

A medically supervised water fasting program combines water, mineral-rich Himalayan salt, and natural supporting therapies that help boost the immune system and accelerate detoxification — all under daily clinical observation. At TheLifeCo, orthostatic blood pressure is checked once a day and glucose and ketone levels three times a week, with doctors, nurses, and program coordinators guiding you according to your metabolic needs.
Most healthy adults can benefit from water fasting. If you have a specific condition such as diabetes, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol, or if you take regular medication, we recommend consulting your doctor before joining so the program can be adapted safely to you.
Water fasting is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women, cachectic patients, people with eating disorders or certain health conditions, and anyone under 18 years old.
We recommend a minimum of 7 days to experience the benefits of water fasting, and for deeper results the 21-day program is ideal — long enough to cleanse the body effectively, support weight loss, and help establish new habits. Your duration is always set with your clinical team based on your health goals.

In the days before arrival, ease off meat and other animal products, build your meals around raw or steamed vegetables, finish dinner by around 17:00, avoid added sugar (swap in honey, maple, date syrup, or coconut sugar), skip fried and packaged foods, and favour organic where possible.
