How to Detox the Liver

When we go through the natural detoxification of the body, we have to consider the liver, lungs, colon, kidneys, skin and much more. So, all these parts of the body need to function well, or else the body won’t be able to detoxify as properly as we wanted it to be.

Let’s talk about how to detoxify the liver on our own. Usually, the liver has the tendency to absorb or to contain everything and anything that goes into the body. What the liver does is to make sure that all these substances are not immediately lethal to the body. That’s why, the liver would try to neutralize whatever goes into the body. When this happens, we need to make sure that anything we introduce into our body first would need to be as least contaminated as possible.

How to Avoid Toxic Chemicals
We should start to learn about what which everyday household items we need to avoid. Whether we like it or not, from shower curtain to the shampoo we use, from the plastic that contain water we will be drinking to the straw that we been use to drink would somehow contain some sort of chemicals. And, these chemicals that we are talking about are disruptors. They can disrupt hormonal balancing, physiological functioning and so many other things that can ultimately affect our well-being.

First thing to do to help your liver is to understand the things we are using everyday as much as possible. Whether there are things you understand or not, we should read the labels and check which of the ingredients are most likely chemicals. These synthetic chemicals are the things that we want to avoid. Or, we suffer the consequences in the long run.

How to Improve Liver Function Naturally
If needed, your body can require some supplements in order to support your liver for its proper functioning. For example, herbs with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties like milk thistle. Or, supplements like silymarin, glutathione, vitamin B complexes, vitamin C, alpha lipoic acid, folic acid. All these things are necessary for us to make sure that our liver receives all these basic substances to be able to function as we expected to.

When we talk about natural liver detoxification, there are two phases that the liver goes through. And, these two phases require certain types of natural chemicals as much as possible in the liver to be able to function well in the body. The liver is supposed to filter and repackage any substances into execrable and soluble forms. So, they can be pushed out from your kidneys. They can be transferred to your colon for proper elimination as well. Let’s remember the substances you need to take to detoxify your liver and improve liver function: Vitamin C, vitamin B complexes, alpha lipoic acid, folic acid, amino acids, milk thistle, phospholipids. All these things are very important to make sure that phase 1 and phase 2 of liver detoxification happens proficiently.
